Thursday, February 25th, 2010

The pilot which is being carried out at the Aloft hotel in Lexington, Massachusetts enables guests to skip the front desk and move straight into their room. Guests are given RFID equipped membership card which can only be used for opening door locks. Whenever they plan to stay at the hotel, a text message is sent by the hotel authorities to guest’s cell phone with their room number. So when you reach the hotel room all you need to is take out your keycard and head straight to your room without having to stand in the queue.
